Flex 68A is the highest hardness, strongest tensile engineering-grade elastic resin in the series, designed for high-load industrial applications

⚙️ Engineering-Grade Elastic Resin — Built for High-Load Industrial Applications

QTS Flex 68A is the most powerful member of the Flex series. Shore 68A hardness rivals industrial hard rubber, 9~15 MPa tensile strength ensures parts don't fracture under extreme loads, while 90~120% elongation provides sufficient elastic cushioning. This perfect combination of strength and toughness makes Flex 68A the ultimate choice for industrial casters, robot wheels, and high-load buffer components.

✨ Six Core Advantages

💪

Flex Series Highest Tensile — 9~15 MPa

Among the entire Flex series, Flex 68A boasts the highest tensile strength (9~15 MPa), withstanding enormous tensile forces without fracturing — the ultimate choice for high-load industrial applications.

🔄

Tough & Flexible — Perfect Balance

90~120% elongation ensures parts absorb impacts elastically rather than brittle-fracturing under high-strength loads — perfectly combining industrial rubber strength with elasticity.

⚙️

Superior Wear Resistance — Long-Life Parts

Shore 68A hardness provides exceptional wear resistance, withstanding high-frequency compression and friction. Ideal for industrial casters, robot wheels, and other long-life components.

🖤

Professional Matte Black Finish

Professional matte black appearance makes prototypes look closer to final products, suitable for direct use as functional parts. No additional painting required — industrial aesthetics built-in.

🖨️

Low Viscosity for Easy Processing — 250~350 cps

Relatively low viscosity (250~350 cps) ensures smooth printing and easy post-processing cleaning, making this high-performance engineering material approachable for all users.

🎯 Six Core Application Areas

🏭

Industrial Equipment Casters

Caster prototypes and small-batch production for industrial equipment, carts, and machinery. Shore 68A hardness and wear resistance perfectly simulate industrial rubber casters for pre-mold design validation.

🤖

Robot Wheels & Drive Components

Wheel and drive roller prototypes for robots and AGVs. High tensile strength (15 MPa) ensures no deformation under high-speed rotation and load; excellent rebound provides stable traction.

🛡️

High-Load Buffers & Dampers

Buffer pads, anti-vibration feet, and damping components for machinery. Withstands high-frequency compression and impact, effectively absorbing vibration energy to protect equipment.

🔧

Overmolding Applications

Soft outer layer over rigid core parts for anti-slip and shock absorption. Prototype tool handles and equipment grips to validate ergonomics, grip comfort, and anti-slip performance.

🏋️

Sports Equipment Wear Parts

Wear-resistant elastic components for fitness equipment and sporting goods. High hardness and wear resistance ensure long-term durability; black finish suits professional sports equipment aesthetics.

🔬

Functional Prototype Validation

Handles, grips, stamps, and other functional parts requiring extreme durability. Accurately simulate final rubber product feel and dynamic performance at minimal cost, significantly reducing tooling risk.

⚙️ Recommended Exposure Parameters

⚠️ Flexible Resin Note: Over-exposure reduces elasticity, making parts stiffer. Start from the lower end of the range. Black resin has slightly lower light penetration — ensure sufficient bottom layer exposure.
Printer Model Screen Type Bottom Exposure Normal Layer Exposure Layer Height
Phrozen Make Color-LCD 30 ~ 40 sec 8 ~ 10 sec 50 μm
Phrozen Sonic mini Mono-LCD 20 ~ 30 sec 4 ~ 5 sec 50 μm
Miicraft 125 DLP 8 ~ 10 sec 0.9 ~ 1.1 sec 50 μm

📋 Usage Steps

1

Shake the Resin

Shake thoroughly before use. Flex 68A has moderate viscosity (250~350 cps) and operates well at room temperature — no warming required.

2

Set Print Parameters

Use the recommended exposure parameters above. Start from the lower end for flexible resins. Note that black resin has slightly lower light penetration — ensure adequate bottom layer exposure.

3

Remove Print Carefully

Flexible parts are soft — handle gently to avoid deformation. Use a thin spatula to assist removal, especially for thin-wall structures.

4

Wash

Wash with 95% IPA or dedicated cleaning solution, gently agitate for 1~2 minutes. Lightly press dry after washing to remove residual liquid before post-curing.

5

Post-Cure (Required)

Post-cure using a UV curing station (365~405nm) for 10~60 minutes (adjust based on model thickness). Critical: Do not over-cure flexible resins — excessive post-curing reduces elasticity. Allow to cool to room temperature before performance testing.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the difference between Flex 68A and Flex 57A? Which should I choose?

A: The main differences are hardness and tensile strength. Flex 57A (Shore 57A) is softer with 56 J/m impact strength, ideal for applications requiring transparency (like shoe sole prototypes). Flex 68A (Shore 68A) is the series' highest hardness with 15 MPa tensile strength, closer to industrial hard rubber, better for industrial casters, robot wheels, and applications requiring extreme strength. Choose Flex 68A for maximum tensile strength and wear resistance; choose Flex 57A for transparency.

Q: Does black resin require special exposure adjustments?

A: Yes, black resin contains black pigment with slightly lower light penetration than clear resins. Slightly extend bottom layer exposure time to ensure full curing. Follow recommended parameters for normal layers to avoid over-exposure affecting elasticity.

Q: Can it be used for industrial caster functional testing?

A: Yes, Flex 68A is ideal for industrial caster design validation. Shore 68A hardness closely matches industrial rubber casters, allowing accurate pre-mold simulation of load capacity, rebound, and wear resistance — significantly reducing tooling risk and cost.

Q: How long should I post-cure? What happens with over-curing?

A: Recommended post-cure: 10~60 minutes (adjust based on model thickness). Post-cure time is critical — insufficient time results in soft, tacky parts; excessive time makes parts hard and loses elasticity. Strictly control post-cure time and test performance only after cooling to room temperature.

Q: Is it suitable for overmolding applications?

A: Absolutely. Flex 68A's high hardness and superior mechanical properties make it ideal for overmolding. Print a rigid core component first, then use Flex 68A for the outer soft layer to validate anti-slip performance, shock absorption, and ergonomic design.

Q: Which 3D printers is this resin compatible with?

A: QTS Flex 68A is compatible with all 405nm light source LCD/DLP/SLA 3D printers, including Phrozen, Anycubic, Elegoo, Creality, FlashForge, eSUN, Miicraft, and other mainstream brands.

Q: What are the storage requirements?

A: Store in a cool, dry location (15~35°C), away from direct sunlight. Seal tightly after each use. Filter used resin before storing separately. Dispose of waste resin by fully curing to solid state first, then recycle as general solid waste.

Q: What safety precautions are required?

A: Always wear gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing during operation. Wash hands with soap after handling. Use in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from children. Never pour liquid resin directly down the drain.
