How to Use — Best Practices

Shake Well

Gently shake the bottle for 30~60 seconds before use to ensure the resin is thoroughly mixed. Avoid vigorous shaking to prevent air bubbles.

Post-Print Cleaning

Use 95% alcohol, IPA (isopropyl alcohol), or Magic Wash Plus dedicated cleaning solution to clean the printed model and remove residual resin. Rinse with water and blow dry.

UV Post-Curing (Critical Step)

For optimal toughness, place the cleaned and dried model in a UV curing station. Cure front side for 20 minutes, then flip and cure back side for 20 minutes. Thorough post-curing is the key to PP-Like achieving maximum toughness.

What's the difference between PP-Like and the Flex series?
PP-Like (Shore 66~70D) is harder than the Flex series, closer to engineering plastic rigidity, while maintaining 40% elongation at break. It's ideal for functional parts requiring "tough yet flexible" performance like snap fits and living hinges. The Flex series (Shore 57A~85A) is softer, suited for applications requiring large elastic deformation like shoe soles and seals.
How thin can a living hinge be printed?
We recommend living hinge minimum thickness of 0.4~0.6mm to ensure sufficient strength and durability. Consider the hinge's bending radius in design to avoid stress concentration from overly sharp fold angles. Start with thicker dimensions (0.8~1.0mm) for initial testing, then adjust based on results.
How long does the transparency last after sanding?
The transparency achieved after sanding + clear coat is quite durable. We recommend UV-stabilized clear coat to effectively delay yellowing. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense UV light. For indoor display or functional testing, the transparent effect can last for years.
Is PP-Like suitable for food-contact containers?
PP-Like resin has not been certified for food contact safety and is not recommended for containers or utensils in direct contact with food. For food-contact applications, please consult the QTS technical team for suitable alternative materials.
Does insufficient post-curing affect toughness?
Yes, post-curing time significantly affects PP-Like toughness. Insufficiently post-cured parts have reduced toughness and are more prone to brittle fracture; over-curing may make parts harder with reduced elongation. Strictly follow the recommended 20 minutes per side for optimal PP-like toughness performance.
